The buildings are for King, Queens and their royal families. Those are for the last King in the Korean history lasted 500 years. The traditional shape and painting style apply to all other traditional building which has been built last couple of hundreds years. Before that in ancient period, Korea has somewhat different types of architectural styles and it goes almost 5,000 years back.
